This course provides an overview of the evolution of brand partnerships for artists and how today's online world has expanded these opportunities. Participants will examine examples of collaboration between artists and brands before delving into the key points that both parties must consider when developing a new brand partnership opportunity. Luis will introduce a featured artist, tell their story, and explain their process for developing collaborations and partnerships. As participants meet another artist and learn about their strategy, they will create a case study to serve as inspiration for their own project. Using the answers provided by the artist, participants will begin designing their strategy using Luis' 5 steps. Participants will go over a series of references and examples to help them organize their information and present their work. They will learn how to make connections through networking and how the industry works, as well as how to organise their contacts and opportunities before identifying potential challenges. To conclude the course, participants will consider some strategic online and offline approaches to engaging their contacts in conversation. Finally, participants will create a step-by-step strategy for securing new brand partnership opportunities as well as artwork to present to a specific brand.
