How to launch the software to take an online theory exam at Grades 1 to 5 with ABRSM in 6 easy steps. 1. Read the guidelines and checklist found on our website and run the PSI system check found on this page to ensure your device is compatible 2. Log into your ABRSM account: abrsm.org/login and select ‘Start Music Theory exam. 3. Launch the exam when you are ready. From this point, you have 3 hours to download the exam software, undertake system tests, conduct the pre-exam set up and complete the exam. If you are not ready to begin, do not select ‘Launch’. You cannot go back from this point. 4. Download the PSI RPNow software. When the download is complete, open the file and agree to the license terms. (This can take up to 10 mins to download if your connection is slow – so don’t be alarmed!) 5. Test your microphone is working by speaking out loud. You should see soundbars appear to show that everything is working correctly. If you do not see any soundbars, check your microphone settings. 6. Agree to PSI’s ‘terms of use’. This allows us to invigilate the exam remotely. Your computer screen, webcam and microphone are now being monitored by PSI until you end the test. This video is the first in a series of three videos.
