This free online course provides an introduction to Wing Chun (or Ving Tsun) Baat Jaam Do (butterfly knife) skills for beginners. It takes learners through the basic steps necessary to start learning this martial arts move. Learners will learn the forms of Baat Jaam Do, as well as the other activities they need to practice before starting. Baat Jaam can be regarded as a self-defence activity and it is called Baat Jaam Do because of some of its specific attributes. The course demonstrates the vital parts of the body that are crucial for effective practice. It also covers the steps necessary to learn the Wing Chun Baat Jaam Do move, the hands positions that are important for mastering Wing Chun, and the professional Chung Jam skills. Learners will also learn about the positions of the upper and lower body while successfully making the move, the roles of the left hand in Baat Jaam Do, the right hand positions, the minimum time the Chung should be demonstrated, how to Chan Do, and the Jaam techniques that can be achieved.
